Free Training Event - Raising Awareness of Child Sexual Exploitation
Three productions of ‘Chelsea’s Choice’ have been commissioned by Trafford on: Thursday 9th July at The International Suite which is in the West Stand at Manchester United’s Old Trafford ground.

The performance times and details are:
    • First performance – 10.30am – 12.00pm – This is targeted at young people aged 12 years +
    • Second performance – 1.00pm – 2.30pm – This is targeted at young people aged 12 years +
    • Third performance – 4.00pm – 5.30pm – This is targeted at professionals.

Please could you confirm your attendance to Joanne Johnson (CSE Co-ordinator) at TalkShop by email to joanne.johnson@trafford.gov.uk as soon as possible stating your name, job title and email address. If you are confirming for additional colleagues please also include their details. If you are taking young people to a production please also include how many young people and for which young person’s performance.

This is an excellent opportunity for young people and professionals to watch a highly recommended theatre production that has been proven to raise awareness of Child Sexual Exploitation. The play lasts approximately 40 minutes and is followed by a 20 – 30 minute plenary session exploring the issues raised in the play with the audience members.

Ideally, it would be great if a vast range of young people can reached for the young person’s productions as all of the young people in Trafford have the potential to be a victim and/or be at risk of CSE. It would also be good to reach a vast range of professionals including practitioners, managers of all levels and key decision makers from a range of different services and backgrounds in Trafford. Professionals do not need to be directly working with young people – this production can be used as awareness raising and it would be good to reach the less obvious professionals.

Please note there is no charge to attend.

For further details on the training please click here or contact Joanne Johnson (CSE Co-ordinator) at TalkShop by email to joanne.johnson@trafford.gov.uk
