Summary of the Role
We need volunteers to help with our community work! Our brain health champions support local people who have interest in or experience with brain fog / long term health conditions. You may have lived experience yourself.
Main Tasks
Tasks will include screening (working through a structured questionnaire to help assess brain fog), helping with drop-in groups, signposting to resources to help good brain health (nutritional, physical and mental) and generally being ambassadors for our community work.
Some of your tasks will be out in the community, mainly in venues in Trafford & South Manchester (Moss Side, Hulme, Rusholme). Some tasks will be based in our Oakland House office on Talbot Road in Old Trafford and some from home – there is flexibility. We can offer tasks at least one day a week, maybe more.
Role requirements
You will be our ambassador and will be talking to members of the public so a patient, understanding and sensitive manner is essential.
We have a volunteer agreement which outlines our expectations and what you can expect as a volunteer.
