Summary of the Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic volunteer to promote, share and raise awareness of our services online. We would like the volunteer to have a good knowledge of using social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, as well as being able to create posts on Canva and create e-newsletters on mail chimp. Occasionally you may need to help one of our carers with digital problems This is usually helping them how to use zoom, or e-mails, only if you feel confident to do so. Please specify this in your application.
Main Tasks
- Creating posts on Canva
- Scheduling posts on Buffer
- Sharing information for carers in Trafford to read on social media
- Creating E-newsletters on Mailchimp and sharing with carers and other professionals
- Filtering out information from emails and providing carers with relevant information
- Writing posts and articles about Trafford Carers Centre
Role requirements
- Must have good computer skills
- An enthusiasm about social media / willingness to learn and understand social media
- Must be able to work independently
- Strong writing skills
- Personable
- Local community connections desirable
- An Understanding of the issues that affect unpaid carers is desirable
- Creative
