Summary of the Role
Our Club is a weekly session for Children with SEND and their families within a safe and welcoming atmosphere. This is a wonderful opportunity to work alongside our SEN team to provide resources, clubs and support to families with SEN children. Volunteers will grow in their skills and understanding of Special needs and it’s ideal for anyone with an interest in SEND
Main Tasks
- Assisting the Hideaway Team in the preparation and set up of the sessions.
- Helping the Hideaway Team in the smooth running of the sessions.
- Assisting in running play, craft and other activities for SEND children and their families with the Hideaway Assistant and Family Team.
- Ensure safeguarding policies and best practices are followed in the centre.
- Help to make customers aware of daily activities and any future events taking place.
- Assist in building relationships with parents and visitors, playing with kids and making people feel welcome.
- Communicating with customers in a pleasant and courteous manner and in line with our values and ethos.
- Reporting and health and safety issues, maintenance issues, etc to the Hideaway General Manager/Assistant Managers.
- The role involves working with children and vulnerable adults, and the responsibilities to safeguarding that this involves.
- To undertake training as required including a mandatory induction
