Summary of the Role
• To Support and enhance the services we offer to families in Trafford.
• To assist the Library and Digital Advisors in library activities and events.
Main Tasks
The following are the types of tasks and activities that you can be involved in, although you are not required to do them all if you do not want to;
• Lead regular Rhymetimes and Storytimes for children aged 0-5 and their families (around 30 minute session)
• Help facilitate our regular Lego Clubs, Craft Activities, Sensory Play or Coffee Morning sessions
• Facilitate any other ad-hoc family events on weekends and school holidays
Role requirements
• Approachable, enthusiastic and happy to get stuck into the activities on offer, or come up with new ones!
• Can commit to attend training/shadowing sessions and work alongside library staff
• Can commit some time on a regular basis for volunteer duties
• Have a good level of English and Maths
• Let us know if you would have any problems with lifting & handling, or any other adjustments we need to take into account
