Why are we looking for Digital Heroes?

We believe that there are 3 barriers to getting online – Devices, Data and Digital Skills. Trafford Libraries and Trafford Council are committed to helping give every resident in our borough the opportunity to tackle these barriers, and the chance to volunteer as a Digital Hero helps support that commitment.

Within our network of libraries, we are offering:
– a Device Loan Scheme – where residents can borrow a tablet or Chromebook for 3-week periods at a time

– a National Databank distribution point – offering up to 40GB of mobile SIM data
– informal digital skills training – supported by a Trafford Libraries and our Digital Heroes.

You can be part of this work to help Trafford citizens and communities gain the skills, confidence and access to get online and interact with modern society.
