Volunteer Mentor, Reach Out

Summary of the Role

ReachOut is a mentoring and educational charity. As a volunteer mentor, you’ll be supporting young people in your local community, helping them grow in character and confidence, all whilst developing your own skills and experience.

You would be part of a team supporting primary or secondary age young people (age 9-16) – you can specify which age.

Teaching young people our values – fairness, good judgement, staying power and self control. Recruitment at certain points in the year depending on which schools are involved in the project / where they are located.

Main Tasks

Work with 1 or 2 young people as a mentor in group sessions at their school. Supported by a trained member of staff.

Role requirements

No experience necessary – full training (2 hours) and online modules e.g. safeguarding. They will arrange a DBS for you.
