blueSCI seeks to provide Disclosure and Barring Services to local groups

blueSCI is looking into the possibility of becoming a registered umbrella body with the Disclosure and Barring Service so that it can provide DBS checks for the community groups and social enterprises that they are supporting at a lower cost. In order to do this they need to provide evidence to show that they will be able meet the minimum requirement of DBS applications a year. Therefore, they would like to extend the offer to other services, community groups and social enterprises who would like to process their DBS checks through them. If they are accepted as a registered body there will be a small charge of £5 administration fee on top of the usual associated costs. Please see https://www.gov.uk/disclosure-barring-service-check/overview for these costs. If you would like to register your commitment please fill out the form and return it to becci@bluesci.org.uk by 15th November 2013.
