Could You Spare an Hour to Talk to a Young Person? Greater Manchester Talent Match Need Your Help.

As you maybe aware Greater Manchester Talent Match – the Big Lottery funded programme is aimed at helping the most disadvantaged young people along the pathway into employment. The programme which is led by GMCVO has been running for a year with over 200 young people signed up to it. With eight already in paid employment and all of them highlighting high levels of satisfaction.

Talent Match have identified a need for more employed adults who would be willing to spend an hour chatting to a young person. They are looking for people from all kinds of organisations and job roles so we can enable young people to learn more about what it’s really like to work in different places and how careers progress in real life, and develop their confidence meeting new people.

GMCVO is very keen that this also includes people working in the voluntary, community and social enterprise sectors.

Would you be prepared to meet a young person informally for a short chat?
If so, please contact: Heather Dolan, Business Engagement Officer, GMTM, 0161 233 7750, heather.dolan@bitc.org.uk.
