Connecting our Social Justice and Climate Justice Missions across GM

Please save the date for this unifying event that will bring together the existing mission-based networks, partnerships and taskforce groups across Greater Manchester for the first time. We will hear and learn from each of our mission-based themes and create the opportunity to start to benefit from cross-network collaboration. We will be joined by Andy Burnham, Mayor of Greater Manchester and a range of speakers for what is planned to be an exciting, inspiring and interactive day.
The event will bring together, for the first time, our mission-based action networks across the city-region. This includes the many members of the Homelessness Action Network, Food Security Action Network, Digital Inclusion Action Network, Real Living Wage Action Network and Carbon Neutral GM Action Network.
We know that at their core each of these mission-based action networks are working in furtherance of a shared mission, and that is good lives for all. For individual network themes, the event provides the opportunity to better understand how we respond to issues of intersectionality across and between these areas. Some Equality Panel members are already members of some of these networks, but we also know we have not yet maximised the benefit of networking the networks.
