With support from Arts Council England’s Covid-19 Emergency response fund, Seed Studios presents ‘found around’. A project inviting our community to submit reflections on their life in lockdown in the form of audio recordings and other creative responses.
With the uncertainty surrounding lockdown measures right now, our community will be experiencing different things: some returning to normal; others to a different life than the one
they had before lockdown; others not leaving lockdown at all.
We wish to unite our community in this time through a project that will allow them all to share reflections on their life over the past few months and now. So we are encouraging our
communities in Trafford to record and share their creative responses to their everyday lives right now via foundaround@seedstudios.org.
These audio responses will be passed to three music producers, sound artists and/or composers close to the Seed community who will each create separate pieces unifying all of our community’s reflections on life over the past few months.
Our community’s creative responses and the pieces will all be displayed in an online exhibition space in a few months time. When appropriate, we also hold a celebratory event showcasing
our community’s development throughout this strange and uncertain period.
This project is directly funded by Arts Council England’s Emergency response fund.
Seed Studios trustee Lucy Power says: “In a time when we must make art in isolation, and
musicians are prevented from performing, or collaborating in a studio setting, the found around project will produce a gallery of compositions reflecting our collective lockdown experience”
