Henshaws in Greater Manchester enables people of all ages living with sight loss to make informed choices about their future. The Henshaws team have been sharing their expertise in their Visual Impairment Awareness Training (VIAT) course, open to anyone who wants to know more about life with a visual impairment. Henshaws VIAT is a practical and engaging learning experience, aimed at helping people understand the needs and concerns of people with a visual impairment. Henshaws are offering our free one hour mini VIAT, available either in person, virtually via Teams or Zoom and via their e-learning platform.
Courses include sight loss facts, tips and guidance, challenging visual impairment stereotypes and misconceptions and experiencing what it is like to be visually impaired using our sight loss simulation glasses and how to appropriately support those with sight loss.
