TLC: Talk, Listen, Change – An Award-winning Relationships Charity operating services across Greater Manchester. Our aim is to support people to have safe, healthy and happy relationships. We are looking to recruit to a number of positions including: (i) Children & Young People’s Counsellors; and (ii) Counsellors/Therapists.

Opportunity 1
Job Title: Children & Young People’s Counsellor

Purpose: To deliver 1-2-1 counselling for children and young people aged 5-18 years in a range of settings using a variety of techniques to assertively engage with them. Some of the children and young people we support have complex lives including living in homes where there is domestic abuse, being in alternative education provision etc.

Salary: £25,878 per year (pro rata – depending on hrs worked) plus benefits package including individual clinical supervision each month, access to monthly clinical seminars, annual Continuous Professional Development allowance, generous annual leave entitlement including birthday leave and Christmas close down

Hours: Variable hours – minimum of 6 hrs per week / maximum of 20 hrs per week

Location: Roles are based across Greater Manchester with specific programme delivery in Wigan, Oldham, Rochdale, Stockport, Tameside and Trafford

Checks: Enhanced DBS check and references covering at least the last two years

Opportunity 2
Job Title: Counsellor/Therapist

Purpose: To provide a high-quality therapeutic counselling service to clients, who may be individual adults, couples and families. We offer counselling in settings and formats that meet client demand which may therefore include working at TLC: Talk, Listen, Change centres, or in other community settings.

Salary: £25,878 per year (pro rata – depending on hrs worked) plus benefits package including individual clinical supervision each month, access to monthly clinical seminars, annual Continuous Professional Development allowance, generous annual leave entitlement including birthday leave and Christmas close down

Hours: Working patterns will be agreed with the successful candidates but applications are sought from those with the ability to work in the evening.

Location: Manchester and Stockport (potentially other locations in Greater Manchester)
