Men’s Health in Strategy, Policy and Practice will be held at Stoller Hall in Manchester on Thursday 23rd November 2023 at 9:30am to 5:30pm, and will feature many of the leading names in men’s physical and mental health and wellbeing, both from academia and the charity sector.
Tickets for the day are still available from EventBrite for only £50, including lunch.
Speakers will include some of the world’s leading academic researchers in the field, alongside national and international charities such as Movember, Men’s Sheds UK and Andy’s Man Club.

- Professor Alan White: Men’s Health, The Journey So Far
- Prof. Alan White is Emeritus Professor at Leeds Beckett University, founder and formerly co-director of the UK’s first Centre for Men’s Health. He was co-founder of Men’s Health Forum and is currently a board member of International Society for Men’s Health. Alan was winner of the Lifetime Achievement Award at the National Men and Boys Awards 2022.
- Professor Kate Hunt: Engaging men in positive health behaviours through sport and sporting organisations.
- Kate Hunt is Professor of Behavioural Sciences and Health at the University of Stirling, and was recently made a Fellow of the Royal Academy for her research on public health.
- Professor Paul Galdas: Who Cares for the Carers?
- Prof. Paul Galdas is Professor of Nursing and Men’s Health at the University of York and is one of the country’s leading researchers into men’s help-seeking and engagement with health services. His talk will cover his groundbreaking research on supporting the physical and mental health of health care workers themselves.
- Sarah Coghlan: Men’s Health: A Matter of Strategy.
Sarah Coghlan is Global Director of Men’s Health Promotion at Movember, the world’s leading charity fundraising organisation for men’s health and wellbeing.
