The Mayor of Greater Manchester, Andy Burnham, has established an independent Commission to explore how Greater Manchester’s public services, businesses and communities can collectively promote social cohesion and tackle hateful extremism. More information about the Commission, including the Commissioners, can be found here.
As part of this work, the Commissioners would like to find out what people think about the areas we live in, and the communities in which we mix, to ensure people feel able to get on in life. They want to know about the good and the bad, and what we can learn from each other.
Please give your views by taking part in the online consultation here.
The Commissioners would like to hear from anyone who lives, works or visits Greater Manchester – and would like to hear from as many people as possible, so please share this survey with your friends, family and colleagues. You can also share posts on your social media using the hashtag #GMCohesion.
It should take about 10-15 minutes to provide your views.
The consultation deadline is 8am on Monday 16th April 2018.
All your views will be taken into consideration in the Commissioners’ report, and a summary of the recommendations will be published later in 2018. There is the opportunity to provide your email address if you wish to receive a copy of the recommendations by email, but this is optional. All responses are confidential and the commission do not ask for any information that could identify you.
