Following an inspection in March 2019 the Children’s Services regulator, Ofsted, rated Trafford Council’s Children’s Social Care Services ‘inadequate’. The leadership of Trafford Council accepted the findings of the report and a series of measures were agreed to improve the services, including an Improvement Plan to outline the process for Children’s Services to complete the recommendations required by Ofsted.
Delivering the plan is the collective top priority for everyone with a responsibility for meeting the needs of our most vulnerable children and families; this includes elected members of all parties, council employees across every service, and partners working with children every day.
There are 7 priority areas for improvement:
You can find the full Improvement Plan at the Council website: http://www.trafford.gov.uk/about-your-council/children-families-and-wellbeing/ofsted-inspections.aspx
Updates are made available after every Board meeting, which can be found on the Council website here: http://www.trafford.gov.uk/about-your-council/children-families-and-wellbeing/Improvement-Plan-updates/Improvement-Plan-Board-Updates.aspx
