Reporting to the Social Investment Manager, the main duties for this role are as follows:
* Coach and support organisations to enable them to achieve and measure greater social impact and demonstrate financial sustainability.
* Provide funding advice and bid-writing support to organisations seeking mid-size and/or major investment from both THT and external funders.
* Manage a balanced caseload of organisations, build a pipeline of viable potential investees and ensure time is invested in alignment with the priorities identified in the Social Investment Strategy and ensure organisations achieve progress in a timely manner.
* Develop and deliver learning opportunities targeted at different customer segments, including tailored packages of support for high-potential customers.
* Support the delivery of efficient and effective Social Investment Board meetings.
* Support the Social Investment Manager to promote funding schemes to potential applicants and external stakeholders.
* Build the capability of organisations to implement monitoring & evaluation frameworks to ensure impact from funding / investment decisions can be assessed.
* Develop operational level networks in the funding & social investment sectors (customer and provider) and beyond.
* Keep abreast of best practice and upcoming opportunities in relevant fields and use this to develop or improve service delivery.
* Through partnership with key stakeholders maintain an up-to-date knowledge of the key drivers of poverty and relative need / provision gaps across different geographic areas; use knowledge to proactively seek organisations with potential operating in these fields.
* Keep accurate and up to date records of customer progress towards sustainability within procedural and data protection guidelines.
* Provide information to support the development of reports to the Social Investment Board and annual VfM Self-Assessment.
