Trafford Live – Sunday 8th July 2018 – Your Chance to Be Involved

Following the success of Trafford LIVE 2017, which saw hundreds of local people enjoy everything’s that great about Trafford, Trafford Partnership are able to confirm the date of this year’s event which will be 8th July 2018, 11am-4pm at Trafford Town Hall, Talbot Road, Stretford.

The event is coinciding with a T20 cricket match at Emirates Old Trafford which should mean more people, more activities and a great atmosphere. Lancashire County Cricket Club will have some news about reduced cost tickets for Trafford residents very soon.

The event provides a great opportunity to promote your organisation and engage local people in the things you do. The feedback The Partnerships Team got from both the organisations who attended and attendees was really positive; everyone said how much they’d enjoyed the day.

Trafford has recently launched a new Community Cohesion Forum, and would like this event to showcase Trafford’s many religions and cultures. Last year Fo Guang Shan Buddhist Temple wowed the crowds with their amazing dancing. This year the event would love to have more musicians, singers, dancers, crafts, cooks or any other activity to create a Trafford Community Zone at the event that brings people together, raises awareness and highlights what an inclusive borough we have in Trafford.

So if you would like to come along and get involved please get in touch with sue.wright@trafford.gov.uk as soon as possible.

There will be a wide range of people involved as well as of course a climbing wall, bouncy castle, arts, crafts, live music, dance, and lots more. As the event is in July we’re hoping for some sunshine again!.

The venue again this year is Trafford Town Hall and its grounds. Anyone interested in taking part on the day is more than welcome to visit the venue to have a look round at the various rooms and spaces available. They want you to be able to put on the best activities, so don’t feel you’ll have to go where they tell you, head down and get creative!

So The Partnerships team can make a start on their promotional material please could you:

1. Contact The Partnerships team to confirm you want to be a part of the day

2. Tell The Partnerships team what activities you would like to do on the day (the more fun and interactive the better!)

If at all possible, please confirm your place by the 8th May 2018 so they can start to plan out who they’ve got coming and add you to their database.

If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact the Trafford Partnerships and Communities Team on Partnershipsteam@trafford.gov.uk.
