Volunteers Wanted for Greater Manchester NHS70 & Windrush70 Health Walk and Festival – Saturday 23rd June 2018

The Caribbean and African Health Network (CAHN) are looking to recruit volunteers to provide support and assistance at the Greater Manchester NHS70 & Windrush70 Health Walk and Festival celebration event this Saturday (23rd June) from 12 noon to 5pm at Alexandra Park, Russell St, Manchester M16 7JL.

The Theme of the day is ‘Celebrating the Contribution of Migration to the NHS’ and will recognise the invaluable and irreplaceable contribution that the Windrush generation – and all BME communities – have made to the NHS since it was formed in 1948.

The event will include a Health Walk, cultural workshops & stalls, performances and live PA’s and information stalls to drive recruitment in public sector organisations.

If anyone’s interested in signing up as a volunteer, CAHN are particularly interested in recruiting volunteers as marshalls for the Health Walk, as well as for support duties throughout the day long event.

If you are interested in volunteering to assist with the Health Walk (from 10.30am -1.30pm), please contact Carlos Tait at carlos.tait@gmmh.nhs.uk or on 07501 120015

If you would like to volunteer to assist throughout the event (10.30am – 6pm), please contact Charles Kwaku-Odoi at charlesk@cahn.org.uk or on 07575 579377
