The next Thrive Trafford VCFSE Strategic Forum Event will focus on the Trafford VCFSE Strategy & Responding to the Climate Emergency

Guest Speakers: Adrian Fisher, Director of Growth and Regulatory Services and Jez Tweed Principal Sustainability & Climate Change Officer will provide an overview from the Trafford Climate Emergency & Air Quality Commission, and the Carbon Neutral Action Plan.
This event will be hosted by Trafford partners working together to provide an update on the finalisation of the Trafford VCFSE Strategy & Responding to the Climate Emergency.
The Trafford VCFSE Strategy is nearing completion and this Event will provide an opportunity for VCFSEs to make final observations, for a timeline for finalisation and next steps implementation to be outlined.
The Trafford VCFSE Strategy also includes an aim relating to social value and the VCFSE sector in Trafford has a key role to play in contributing towards net zero/climate change targets and collaborating to support environmental projects.
Interest areas for the sector are likely to be around impact and implications for their own organisations (their buildings, how they operate and deliver their services), how they can contribute towards Trafford social value targets and benefits this will bring for communities (i.e. improved health), and project or supply chain opportunities that might exist for VCFSEs.
The Trafford Community Collective have formed a small climate group of VCFSEs interested in environmental work and tackling climate change actions. During the Event you’ll also hear from the Community Solar group who are leading the way and providing a brilliant example of how the community sector approach is able to address climate change.
We will also provide a short update on current funding opportunities for VCFSEs.
