Social Enterprise Support and Networks
“A social enterprise is an organisation that applies commercial strategies to maximize improvements in human and environmental well-being – this may include maximizing social impact rather than profits for external shareholders.”
Thrive is supporting the establishment of social enterprises across Trafford including providing advice to individuals, existing organisations, and new mutual/spin out opportunities working closely with Trafford Council Transformation & Resources.
Thrive ran a Social Enterprise Start-up & Support Network event at the end of January 2018. With almost 10 Social Enterprises in attendance, Thrive will be continuing to support each Social Entrepreneur through one-to-one Capacity Building support. If you would like to attend one of our next Social Enterprise Support Networking events please register your interest by emailing Caroline Lewis on Caroline.Lewis@thrivetrafford.org.uk
Social enterprises are also being supported through links to private sector peer mentoring opportunities through our work with businesses in Trafford.
