BBC Charity Appeals – Would Your Charity Benefit From A National Media Appeal?

BBC Charity Appeals – Would Your Charity Benefit From A National Media Appeal?

Ever wondered how to get your charity national coverage (and donations!) on the BBC Radio 4 Appeal, or the Lifeline programme on TV? Here’s how…
To be eligible, you have to be a registered charity whose work has UK-wide or international scope and/or significance. As part of your application you need to send your most recent annual accounts, an 18 month cashflow forecast, and copies of various policies, along with a clear summary of how you would spend the money raised. Because it relies on audience members responses, the amount raised is variable, of course, but likely to be in the £1,000s to the £10,000s. Broadcast slots are approximately 12 months after the application deadline.
