International Women’s Day Awards – Nominations Now Open!

It’s coming up to that time of year again! Cllr Joanne Harding is excited to be hosting the Trafford International Women’s Day Awards 2023 on Sat 4th March.
Exact time and venue to be confirmed but we need your nominations.
The categories this year are :
• Inspirational Young Woman ( aged 18-25)
• Inspirational Woman in Health & Social Care.
• Inspirational Woman in Business.
• Inspirational Woman Volunteer.
• Inspirational Woman Leader.
• Inspirational Community Champion.
• Woman who goes Above & Beyond.

Tell Joanne in a couple of paragraphs why you think the woman you nominate should win. It’s really important for you to tell her which CATEGORY and also a name / email or phone number for the woman you are nominating.

Nominations close on 25th Feb ( no late entries accepted as she needs to ensure they have enough time for the judges to decide the winners). All those nominated will receive a certificate and the winners a prize. This year Joanne would really love to celebrate the diversity of our fantastic Borough so do please nominate from across Trafford.
The awards ceremony will be a social occasion to celebrate the many unsung female heroes we have in Trafford doing amazing things. There will be guest speakers and an opportunity for us to celebrate some great achievements. As an addition to this years event is looking to host a photographic exhibition of famous and iconic Trafford women throughout the years. If you have any photographs or nominations for this part of the celebration of International Women’s Day, do please get in touch. They are hoping to host this exhibition at Waterside Arts, to coincide with the performance of Emmeline on March 8th.

To nominate a woman for one of the categories please email Joanne Harding at Joanne.Harding@Trafford.gov.uk by 25th February 2023.
